حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو (١) بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: " لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِينَ يُشَقِّقُونَ الْكَلَامَ تَشْقِيقَ الشِّعْرِ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) cursed those who speak in an affected manner like reciting poetry.
