حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلَكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ: إِنَّكُمْ قَدْ أَحْدَثْتُمْ زِيَّ سُوءٍ، " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الزُّورِ " وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ: الزُّورُ (٢) ، قَالَ: وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ بِعَصًا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خِرْقَةٌ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا وَهَذَا الزُّورُ. قَالَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ: قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: " هُوَ مَا يُكْثِرُ بِهِ النِّسَاءُ أَشْعَارَهُنَّ مِنَ الْخِرَقِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Saeed bin Musayyib says that once Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "You have invented a bad practice; the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade «زور»." Meanwhile, a man came whose hand held a staff and who had a woman's cloth on his head. Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "This is «زور»."
