حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ - إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ -، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، فَقَالَ: " أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ كَقِطَعِ السَّحَابِ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ " فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ: وَمِنَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَّةً: " إِلَّا أَنْتُمْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) raised his head towards the sky and said: “The best people among the inhabitants of the earth, that is, the people of Yemen, are coming to you like pieces of clouds.” A man sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Are they even better than us?” The Prophet (ﷺ) replied softly: “Except for you.”
