قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الطَّوِيلُ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً رَجُلًا صَالِحًا، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي الدَّرَاوَرْدِيَّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِي جُمَّةٌ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَجَدْتُ، ، رَفَعْتُهَا، فَرَآنِي أَبُو حَسَنٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ، فَقَالَ: " تَرْفَعُهَا لَا يُصِيبُهَا التُّرَابُ وَاللهِ لَأَحْلِقَنَّهَا " فَحَلَقَهَا (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Amr bin Yahya narrates from his father or uncle that my hair was very long, and when I would prostrate, I would lift it up with my hand. Once, Abu Hasan saw me doing this and said, "You lift it up so that it does not get dirt on it. By Allah! I will cut it off." So he cut that hair.
