Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَامْرَأَتِهِ اعْتَمِرَا فِي رَمَضَانَ: " فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ لَكُمَا كَحَجَّةٍ "، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً: وَلَمْ يَقُلْ، ، حَدَّثَنِي يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ: " فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ كَحَجَّةٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Yusuf bin Abdullah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to an Ansari husband and wife: Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like performing Hajj for you.
