Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: دُفِعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ " يَقْرَأُ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ "، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً، وَلَيْسَ، ، فِيهِ قَوْلُ قَتَادَةَ يَعْنِي مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ هَمَّامٍ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdullah that once I was present in the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) at that time he was reciting Surah At-Takathur, then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
