حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى "، وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: " صَدَقَتُكَ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ ثِنْتَانِ: صَدَقَةٌ، وَصِلَةٌ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Salman that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Perform ‘aqiqah on the birth of a boy, remove impurities from him, and sacrifice an animal on his behalf. And I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Giving charity to a poor person earns a single reward, and giving charity to a close relative earns a double reward—one for charity and one for maintaining family ties.
