حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ (١) فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated in a mawquf form from Salman bin Amir that when any one of you breaks his fast, he should break his fast with dates. If dates are not available, then he should break his fast with water, for water is purifying.
