Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثُوَيْرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، يَقُولُ: هَذَا يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ فَصُومُوه، فَإِنَّ، ، رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صُومُوهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Zubair that today is the day of Ashura, so observe its fast because the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed to fast on this day.
