حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَوَالِي، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ رَكَعَ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ، وَأَوْتَرَ بِسَجْدَةٍ، ثُمَّ نَامَ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ بَعْدَ صَلَاتِهِ بِاللَّيْلِ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zubair that when the Prophet (ﷺ) would perform the Isha prayer, he would then offer four rak'ahs and perform witr with one prostration, then he would sleep. After that, he would wake up at night and perform prayer.
