Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، وَكَانَتْ بَايَعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَا،، ، بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulayman that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, throwing pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah from the bottom of the valley. At that time, he was saying: "O people, do not kill one another, and when you perform the stoning of the Jamarat, use pebbles like clay fragments for it."
