حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ الْأَنْصَارِ بَنُو النَّجَّارِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ، ثُمَّ، ، بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ، وَفِي كُلِّ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ "، (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Usaid Sa‘idi that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best household among the Ansar is that of Banu Najjar, then Banu ‘Abd al-Ashhal, then Banu Harith bin Khazraj, then Banu Sa‘idah. In fact, there is goodness and blessing in every house of the Ansar. Upon this, Sa‘d bin ‘Ubadah said: I think that the Prophet (ﷺ) has given them superiority over us. He was told: You people have been given superiority over many others.
