حَدِيثُ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، ١٦٠٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّرَهُ عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ، فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ: " إِنْ أَخَذْتُمْ فُلَانًا فَأَحْرِقُوهُ بِالنَّارِ "، فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ نَادَانِي، فَقَالَ: " إِنْ أَخَذْتُمُوهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُعَذِّبُ بِالنَّارِ، إِلَّا رَبُّ النَّارِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hamzah Aslami that once the Prophet (ﷺ) appointed him as the leader of a detachment. When I was about to depart, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you succeed in capturing such-and-such person, then burn him in the fire. When I turned my back, the Prophet (ﷺ) called me and said: If you find him, then only kill him (do not burn him in the fire), because only the Lord of the Fire can punish with fire.
