حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " نَسَمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِذَا مَاتَ طَائِرٌ تَعْلَقُ بِشَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يُرْجِعَهُ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى جَسَدِهِ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُ اللهُ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The soul of a Muslim remains in the form of birds on the trees of Paradise until the Day of Resurrection when Allah will return it to its body.
