حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَوْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: هُوَ شَكَّ يَعْنِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ الْخَامَةِ مِنَ الزَّرْعِ، تُقِيمُهَا (١) الرِّيَاحُ تَعْدِلُهَا مَرَّةً، وَتَصْرَعُهَا أُخْرَى حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ أَجَلُهُ، وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مَثَلُ الْأَرْزَةِ الْمُجْذِيَةِ عَلَى أَصْلِهَا، لَا يُعِلُّهَا شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَكُونَ انْجِحَافُهَا يَخْتَلِعُهَا - أَوْ انْجِعَافُهَا - مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً " شَكَّ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The example of a believer is like that of the grains of a crop which the wind blows; sometimes it makes them level and sometimes it throws them to another place, until their appointed time comes. And the example of a disbeliever is like that of rice which stands firm on its root; nothing can shake it until it is taken down all at once.
