Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Rawahah that once he returned from a journey at night and proceeded towards his wife. When he reached home, a lamp was burning there and someone was with his wife. He picked up his sword. Seeing this, his wife said, "Wait, this is such-and-such woman who is helping me with my adornment." He went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him of the incident. The Prophet (ﷺ) then forbade anyone from returning to his house at night suddenly and without prior notice.
