حَدِيثُ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ (١) (٢)، ١٥٤٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِي النَّجْمِ، وَسَجَدَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ " قَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُ: " وَلَمْ أَسْجُدْ مَعَهُمْ، وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُشْرِكٌ "، فَقَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُ: " فَلَا أَدَعُ السُّجُودَ فِيهَا، ، أَبَدًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Mutlib bin Abi Wada'ah that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) perform the prostration of recitation at the verse of prostration in Surah An-Najm, and all the people also prostrated, but I did not prostrate because at that time I was a polytheist. Therefore, now I will never abandon the prostration in it.
