Qasim says that once we were sitting with Abdur Rahman bin Abzi. He said, "Shall I not show you how the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray?" We said, "Why not." So he stood up, said the takbeer, recited (Qur'an), then bowed (ruku') and placed both hands on his knees until every bone settled in its place. Then he raised his head and stood for so long that every limb became steady in its place. In the same way, he performed both prostrations (sujood) and sat between them, and while standing, he performed the second rak'ah just like the first. And he said, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray like this."
