قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ، وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّفَا، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللهُ، ، بِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out of Masjid al-Haram and proceeded towards Safa, I heard him say: "We will begin from where Allah has begun (as mentioned earlier)."
