English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: I will wait for you ahead; if you do not see me, then I will be at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar, which will be as long as the distance between Aylah and Makkah Mukarramah. Soon, many men and women will come with water skins and vessels, but they will not be able to drink anything from it. It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: I will wait for those coming to the Hawd of Kawthar; some people will be snatched away before they reach me. I will say: O Lord, these are mine and my followers. The reply will come: You do not know what they did after you; they turned back on their heels after you. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (ﷺ) also said: The Hawd of Kawthar is spread over the distance of a month’s journey; its two corners are equal, meaning its width is as much as its length. Its cups are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Its water is more fragrant than musk and whiter than milk. Whoever drinks its water once will never feel thirsty again.
