Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ، ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, the Prophet (ﷺ) would first lead the prayer, and after the prayer, he would address the people.
