Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " مَرِضَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَرَضًا، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَبِيبًا، فَكَوَاهُ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) sent a physician to Ubayy bin Ka'b. He cut the vein of his arm and then cauterized it.
