Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَفْعَلُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَعْنِي الْعَزْلَ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَمْرٍو: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ جَابِرٍ؟ قَالَ: " لَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to practice 'azl, that is, withdrawing the water of life (semen) outside.
