Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah Almighty granted a prophet the spoils of Khaybar. The Prophet (ﷺ) allowed the Jews to remain there and distributed it among the people. After that, Abdullah bin Rawahah was sent. When he arrived there, he harvested the fruit and estimated its amount. Then he said to them, "O group of Jews, among all creation, you are the most hated by me. You martyred Allah’s Prophet (ﷺ) and lied about Allah. But this hatred will not make me treat you unjustly. I have harvested twenty thousand wasqs of dates. If you wish, you may take them, or if you wish, I will take them." They said, "On this, the heavens and the earth will remain established, that we have taken them. Now you may leave."
