حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ بِالْخُمُسِ؟ قَالَ: " كَانَ يَحْمِلُ الرَّجُلَ مِنْهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، ثُمَّ الرَّجُلَ، ثُمَّ الرَّجُلَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Someone asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about what was done with the khums. He replied: They would provide a mount for a warrior, then give a mount to another in the path of Allah, then to a third person.
