Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الرَّجُلُ يَكُونُ حَامِيَةَ الْقَوْمِ، أَيَكُونُ سَهْمُهُ وَسَهْمُ غَيْرِهِ سَوَاءً؟ قَالَ: " ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ يَا ابْنَ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ، وَهَلْ تُرْزَقُونَ وَتُنْصَرُونَ إِلا بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Sa’d bin Malik said: I Said:
O Messenger of Allah, the courageous man who shields others in battle, will his share and that of others be the same? He said: "May your mother be bereft of you, O son of Umm Sa’d! Are you given provision except by virtue of your weak ones?"
