حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَتُودًا جَذَعًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تُجْزِئُ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ "، وَنَهَى أَنْ يَذْبَحُوا حَتَّى يُصَلُّوا (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man slaughtered a six-month-old kid before the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the Eid prayer. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "This will not suffice for anyone other than you," and the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade slaughtering the animal before the prayer.
