Translation

English translation

Amr bin Abdur Rahman says that a person asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), "Among the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), who is left with you now?" He replied, "Anas and Salamah bin Akwa' are left." That person said, "Salamah became apostate after migration." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Do not say such a thing, because I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying for the tribe of Aslam: 'O tribe of Aslam, make yourselves known.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah! We fear that we might return (to disbelief) after migration.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Wherever you live, you will remain migrants (Muhajirun).'"
