حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَنْهَى أَحَدَنَا إِذَا جَاءَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ أَنْ يَطْرُقَ أَهْلَهُ "، قَالَ: " فَطَرَقْنَاهُنَّ بَعْدُ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from entering the city at night and going to our homes without prior notice, but after him, we started doing so.
