Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we participated in a battle with the Prophet (ﷺ). When the time for prayer came, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked: "Does anyone have water?" Upon hearing this, a man came running with a vessel in which there was a little water. The Prophet (ﷺ) poured that water into a bowl and performed ablution thoroughly with it. After performing ablution, he left the bowl there. People rushed towards that bowl. Hearing their voices, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Wait." Then he placed his blessed hand in that water and bowl, and after saying 'Bismillah', he said: "Perform ablution thoroughly and completely." By the One who granted me the blessing of eyesight, I saw that day that water was gushing forth from the blessed fingers of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) did not lift his blessed hand until all the people had performed ablution.
