حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الطَّاعُونِ: " الْفَارُّ مِنْهُ كَالْفَارِّ يَوْمَ الزَّحْفِ، وَمَنْ صَبَرَ فِيهِ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say regarding the plague: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield. And the one who remains patient in it receives the reward like that of a martyr.
