حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ، وَيُونُسُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ اسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١) فِي الْحِجَامَةِ، " فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا طَيْبَةَ أَنْ يَحْجُمَهَا "، قَالَ: " حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ، أَوْ غُلَامًا لَمْ يَحْتَلِمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Umm Salamah sought permission from the Prophet (ﷺ) to have cupping done. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered Abu Taybah to go and perform cupping for her. It is likely that he was the foster brother of Sayyidah Umm Salamah, and he was a young boy who had not yet reached puberty.
