Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ، وَيُونُسُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ - قَالَ يُونُسُ -: عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ " نَهَى عَنْ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ، وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَأَنْ يَرْفَعَ الرَّجُلُ إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى وَهُوَ مُسْتَلْقٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade a man from wrapping his body in a single garment and from sitting with one leg drawn up and the other bent.
