حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ خُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ؟ قَالَ جَابِرٌ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ إِذَا خُسِفَا، أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ خُسُوفُ أَيِّهِمَا خُسِفَ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

Abu Zubair says that I asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the solar eclipse: he replied that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say that the moon and the sun are eclipsed; when you see such a thing, then keep performing prayer until the eclipse is over.
