Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ أَنْ نَصُومَهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us to fast on the day of Ashura.
