حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ وَالْإِنَاءُ عَلَى يَدِهِ لِيَشْرَبَ مِنْهُ، فَيَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: كُنَّا نُحَدَّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لِيَشْرَبْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Abu Zubair says that I asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that if a man wants to fast and he has a vessel in his hand and he is drinking water, and at that moment the call to prayer (adhan) is heard, he replied: It has been narrated to us that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: He should drink the water.
