حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ "، قَالَ: " فَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ، (١) فَيَقُولُ أَمِيرُهُمْ: تَعَالَ صَلِّ بِنَا، فَيَقُولُ: لَا، إِنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أَمِيرٌ، لِيُكْرِمَ اللهُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: "A group from my Ummah will continue to fight for the truth and will remain dominant until the Day of Resurrection, until Isa descends. Then their leader will say, 'Come forward and lead us in prayer.' But he (Isa) will reply, 'No, some of you are leaders over others, so that Allah may honor this Ummah.'"
