Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) went to the house of an Ansari to visit him during his illness. Nearby, a small stream was flowing. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him for water to drink and said: "If you have water left over from the night in this vessel, then that is fine; otherwise, we will drink directly (from the stream)."
