حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجَعْدُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: شَكَا أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهِ الْعَطَشَ، قَالَ: فَدَعَا بِعُسٍّ، فَصُبَّ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ، فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِ يَدَهُ، وَقَالَ: " اسْقُوا "، فَاسْتَقَى النَّاسُ، قَالَ: فَكُنْتُ أَرَى الْعُيُونَ تَنْبُعُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the companions complained of thirst to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) asked for a vessel, and there was a little water in it. The Prophet (ﷺ) placed his blessed hand in that vessel and said: "Drink well." So the people drank from it. I saw that day that water was gushing forth from the blessed fingers of the Prophet (ﷺ).
