حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا، وَنَظَرَ إِلَى الشَّامِ، فَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ أَقْبِلْ بِقُلُوبِهِمْ "، وَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْعِرَاقِ، فَقَالَ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ، وَنَظَرَ قِبَلَ كُلِّ أُفُقٍ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ، وَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا مِنْ ثَمَرَاتِ الْأَرْضِ، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مُدِّنَا وَصَاعِنَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Prophet (ﷺ) faced towards Syria and I heard him saying: "O Allah, turn their hearts." Then he faced towards Iraq and made the same supplication, and after turning towards the horizon and supplicating in the same way, he said: "O Allah, grant us the fruits of the earth and bless our mudd and our sa’."
