حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْفَأْرَةِ تَمُوتُ فِي الطَّعَامِ، أَوِ الشَّرَابِ أَطْعَمُهُ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، زَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، كُنَّا نَضَعُ السَّمْنَ فِي الْجِرَارِ، فَقَالَ: " إِذَا مَاتَتِ الْفَأْرَةُ فِيهِ فَلَا تَطْعَمُوهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu al-Zubair says that I asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) if a mouse falls into any food or drink, can I eat it? He replied, "No, the Prophet (ﷺ) strictly forbade it. We used to keep ghee in pots. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a mouse dies in it, do not eat it."
