حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " قَالَ رَبُّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ يَسْتَجِنُّ (١) بِهَا الْعَبْدُ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Our Lord says that fasting is a shield by which a person protects himself from Hell, and fasting is especially for Me, therefore I alone will give its reward.
