حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ، أَهْرَاقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَمْرَ، وَكَسَرَ جِرَارَهُ، وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِهِ، وَبَيْعِ الْأَصْنَامِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of the conquest of Makkah poured out the wine, broke its containers, and forbade its sale as well as the sale of idols.
