Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " نَهَى أَنْ يَقْعُدَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ، أَوْ يُقَصَّصَ، أَوْ يُبْنَى عَلَيْهِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I myself heard the Prophet (ﷺ) forbidding sitting on the grave, making it solid, and constructing a building over it.
