Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ جَابِرِ (٢) بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَصَبْنَا جَرَادًا، فَأَكَلْنَاهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were participating in a battle with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). During that time, we came across a swarm of locusts, which we ate.
