حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ،، ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا مَيْتَةً فَهِيَ لَهُ، وَمَا أَكَلَتِ الْعَافِيَةُ فَهُوَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ "، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، مَا الْعَافِيَةُ؟ قَالَ: " مَا اعْتَفاَهَا (١) مِنْ شَيْءٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever revives barren, deserted land will receive its reward, and for every animal that eats from it, he will receive the reward of charity for all of them.
