Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الَّذِي يُقَالَ لَهُ الْعَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا، ، سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيُمِطْ مَا كَانَ بِهَا (١) مِنْ أَذًى، ثُمَّ لِيَأْكُلْهَا، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ، وَلَا يَمْسَحْ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ، حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that as the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned the Day of Judgment, his voice would become louder, his blessed face would turn red, and his passion would increase, and it would seem as if he was warning against an approaching army.
