حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ: قَالَ أَبِي: وَفِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا: " اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ النِّعَالِ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا يَزَالُ رَاكِبًا مَا انْتَعَلَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Remain close (to the right path) and do what is correct, for none of you will be saved by his deeds. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Not even you? He said: Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy.
