حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " عُذِّبَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرٍّ - أَوْ هِرَّةٍ - رَبَطَتْهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ، (٢) وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهُ، فَيَأْكُلَ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ، فَوَجَبَتْ لَهَا النَّارُ بِذَلِكَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: A woman was punished because of a cat which she had tied up; she neither fed it herself nor let it go so that it could eat the insects of the earth and fill its belly, until it died in that state. So, Hell became obligatory for her.
