حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ: عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَمَنَّوْا الْمَوْتَ، فَإِنَّ هَوْلَ الْمَطْلَعِ شَدِيدٌ، وَإِنَّ مِنَ السَّعَادَةِ أَنْ يَطُولَ عُمْرُ الْعَبْدِ، وَيَرْزُقَهُ اللهُ الْإِنَابَةَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not wish for death, for the terrors of the Day of Resurrection are very severe, and a person's good fortune and happiness is that he is granted a long life and Allah grants him the ability to turn towards Him.
